Who are we?
The Clackmannanshire Ukulele Band (CUBS) is a performing band covering the Clackmannanshire and surrounding areas
The Band currently recruits Experienced players to sustain the band at operational numbers and recruits younger and less experienced members to keep a healthy balance of age and experience.
The Band actively looks to include various instruments such as Bass Guitar, Percussion, Cello, and Fiddle to name a few to generate a rounded and balanced tone to the group.
We are a non-profit operation which asks for a donation from those we entertain and each year a Local charity is identified to be the beneficiary.
The Band works with local Community Groups and Education centres to spread the joy of this wonderful instrument and provide a steady source of young players. The Band takes every opportunity to collaborate with other groups and we have introduced a bimonthly Jam Night hosted by the group in a suitable Public House.
We also offer free tuition for band members, if you want to know more please click here.
If you wish to take part or just be kept informed please email us at clackmannanshireukuleleband@gmail.com or checkout our FaceBook Page
Where and when do we play?
The Band will meet for Rehearsals on a Tuesday night at the Alva Parkland at 7.30pm. As we are a non-profit organisation and to cover our costs, our fees are £12.00 per month by Direct Debit or Standing Order, which ever you prefer. This will cover the cost of the hall and also we provide tea and coffee. At the side of the venue there are plenty of parking spaces. In addition the bus stop is a two minute walk away and on the major routes.
